Well The Nu Wakefield Pride team are busy planning this years Wakefield Pride and after listening to feedback about the 2009 event one thing was clear and that was that people preferred having the event on Southgate compared to in the main precinct a view shared by the police so this year Wakefield Pride will once again be held on Southgate.

Plans are well underway to make sure the day is even better than ever. The main event will run from 12:00 till 18:00 with a packed line up of live entertainment on stage and will culminate in the traditional parade through the city streets.

Straight after the parade The New Union will then host a massive after party with even more live acts on stage and entertainment inside the bar through till 02:00.
